good news

I dunno why, I just decided to put up a few links to some good news:

First up, via Erica’s Responsible China, the Green Beat has a video looking at wind power in China, and the Guanting wind farm in particular.

Actually, I posted about that wind farm back in July last year. They had some trouble installing turbines because the wind was too high- a good sign for a wind farm, surely.

And the day before yesterday via a Facebook message I was directed to news of what the Library Project has been doing over March. Follow that link, read, and check out the photos- they’re amazing. These guys are doing great work getting books into remote schools in poor areas, and anything that boosts the educational opportunities available to these kids has got to be good.

There you go, some good news.

  1. Nice! Ever since you put a link to the library project in your post from yester-year, I have told the family that I would donate some.

But I haven’t done anything yet. It’s time to move my sorry arse and get a move-on.

By the way, great translation work. And good luck with your exam.
