huh?

I try to open 新京报/The Beijing News, the newspaper loads, and then I’m suddenly redirected for a brand of laptop computer I’ve never heard of before…. Has 新京报 been hacked? And no, I’m not providing a link to this computer company’s ads, I see no reason why I should reward such behaviour.

  1. From the page source, it looks like a misbehaving Flash ad which should run in the sidebar – rather than waiting for you to click on it, it automatically redirects the page.

  2. So technical glitch instead of malice? That’s good, but I hope they fix it, it is most annoying. Even hitting the stop button doesn’t stop it.
