fair’s fair

Well, I suppose now that some of my students know about this blog and may even be reading it, and especially considering I asked them if they wrote their own blogs in English, I should probably get back into the habit of writing regularly in Chinese.

Oh, and there’s that small matter of the HSK, for which I will need to be able to write- like write properly, with a pen, and not constantly checking half-forgotten characters in a dictionary or on a cellphone or computer.

Fair’s fair.

So, welcome, my students, assuming any of you did actually bother to check that address I gave you yesterday.

  1. Which HSK are you taking, and when? I’m sticking with the old one, which doesn’t require an essay or a speaking part…but I hear the new one does.

  2. Don’t know if it’s the old one or new one yet, my wife is handling all the details (behind every successful man is a surprised woman, don’t forget), but I’ll have to find out real soon, because I’ll be doing which ever one is offered at 北京第二外国语大学, which is both the nearest HSK testing point and lzh’s alma mater (is that the right American word?). Anyway, registration is March 25, so I really have to get off my arse and find out, then prepare properly. The rate I’m going, I’m going to crash out big time.
