New voicethread

I’ve made a new voicethread, stringing together eight photos I took one incredible day in the summer of 06, on a walk I took from Xinjiekou around Houhai to Gulou then down to, and up Jingshan. As before, the photos don’t seem to come out anywhere near as clear as when I put them in, but I think I’ll keep playing with voicethread, it’s a pretty awesome tool.

Now, let’s see if I can embed a small version in this blog (last time I failed miserably):

Does it work? Nuh, stuffed it up again.

  1. How are you embedding it? WordPress is notoriusly difficult when it comes to embedding flash or script objects into posts. The best results I’ve had is by using Windows Live Writer. But if you open the post for editing within WordPress again, it strips out the important tags and stuffs it up again.

  2. Thanks for the advice. Next time I’ll try using Live Writer. I haven’t been using LW that much ‘cos of the sheer amount of hassle opening up too much stuff on this computer causes (and I never managed to get it running on my laptop, thanks to some odd problem with internet connections), but next time I’ll give it a go. Actually, the computer has settled down, I might try it now…

  3. Hi, I just noticed you’re having trouble embedding a Thread on your WordPress blog. We made a plugin to make this easier, here’s a link to it and a tutorial on how to use it. http://voicethread.com/share/4643/ It’s still not a guarantee, with all the different flavors of WordPress it’s difficult, but it works most of the time.
