scariness

I knew that the fan that we had going pretty much constantly all summer had gotten really dirty. It was kinda hard to miss that little fact. The fan blades seems to be very good at catching dirt and soot and dust and other miscellaneous particulates out of the air, as are the front and back grills.

But there’s something about taking the grills off and thoroughly cleaning them and the fan that shows you just a little too clearly exactly how much dirt, soot, dust and other miscellaneous particulates it had collected from the air. It would make me wonder what kind of a state my lungs are in if I were willing to allow my mind to wander in that direction.

Still, it’s nice to know that our humble little fan was doing its best to filter the air for us.

  1. I kind of know what I end up breathing some days, but I’m not going to say how I know. I wonder how long it is since the filters in this air con unit were cleaned.
