Just two minutes ago I saw an anti-smoking ad on BTV-3. Seriously. An ad an Beijing TV 3 encouraging people to be at least a little more considerate in their lighting-up. Quite a powerful ad, too: It used a young mother and her daughter, the mother first objecting to unnecessary smoke, then the daughter following in her ma’s footsteps. And this was filmed outdoors, too, in obviously outdoorsy settings. Wow. Quite a step forward- and there is no sarcasm in that statement, only honest respect and hope.
