You know you’re in a sad state when the only things edible in your house are a third of a bulb of garlic, half a pot of left over rice, and half a tomato. Well, and an assortment of sauces and spices, but there’s a difference between flavour and nutrition. And all the fruit we brought back from the village, but that has certain specific purposes, and I can’t eat it all to make up for the lack of other lunch options. And half a packet of spaghetti, but you don’t make up for the lack of other options by adding two staples together and pretending one adds flavour, balance and nutrition to your meal. And of course, when I discovered how sad a state I was in, it was too late to change my plans and run off to buy some lunch.
Now I suppose I’d better run off and get myself ready for class this afternoon. And deliver a bunch of grapes to the office, and sort out the apparent timetable clash I face tomorrow.
