It’s an odd story, but a gang in Yunnan deliberately got an elephant hooked on heroin so it would…. Oh, I don’t know, but somehow they thought this would be a good way to round up a whole herd of elephants and then sell them. Fortunately somebody dobbed them in.
Actually, come to think about it: Herds of junkie elephants could be a good way of stamping out Afghanistan’s phenomenally huge opium crop.
